The Campaign for a Sound Dollar was created for a single purpose — to secure a balanced federal budget by 2020, and keep it balanced into the future.

We're a non-partisan movement for restoring financial sanity in Washington. Building on the Legacy of J. Irving Weiss and the Sound Dollar Committee of 1959 ... we are demanding that Congress balance the Federal Budget by 2020 — two presidential terms from the next election.

In addition to a real balanced budget — not the smoke and mirror kind — we are demanding that Congress reduce deficit spending by 11.3% each fiscal year through 2020.

We believe that a debt-averse Congress — held accountable by debt-averse Americans — will bring back a Sound Dollar ... and renewed prosperity for America!
